"Two Eyed Seeing"

Resumen

This poem is formatted on both sides of the page to show my experience in my daily life vs. my time at the Two Eyed Seeing conference, as it felt as if I had slipped into another world when I was there.  I tried to show this by writing on the left side (daily life) and the right side (being at the conference). I wove the concepts discussed by the presenters and circled it back to myself, a non Indigenous person, by realizing that truly we are all indigenous and can make a difference in one another's life. I also had to be sure to include Hawk in there, as he always travels with me.  The photo, my eyes over the river that the campus was next to, is my way of visually representing my experience at the Two Eyed Seeing Conference.
